 While change is not unheard of, it is something of a rarity in the world of golf. This week can a change that is somewhat remarkable to the game of golf as we know it. The R&A, along with the United States Golf Association,  amended nine principal regulations from the Rules of Golf .
 
Some changes in golf take time and while it took centuries, some penalties have now been adjusted in the rules of golf. The origins of golf date back to 15 th -cenutry Scotland and the rules have been longstanding and deep-rooted in tradition and culture. There rules of golf are something to be honored and respected, even when they seem crazy. There is a certain code of ethics that go along with golf and these are all things that make the game so unique and special.
 
The R&A and the USGA also unveiled tweaks to nine principal rules of golf to improve clarity. The most telling of these amendments will result in a player being exonerated from a penalty if it is known that their ball was moved by the wind after address.
